The obituary of Nicholas James Wykes born on the 21st October 1970 in Oxford and passed away on the 19th February 2025, aged 54 years.
Nick was a wonderful husband to Emma and loving and kind father to Isobel. Son to Hazel and Christopher and brother to Kate, Lex and Ben.
Nick had a varied career starting in the drinks industry advocating and training for many well known drinks brands. He was also part of the creation of No 3 Gin and a portfolio of rums. He left the drinks industry when he became a father and started his studies in sports psychology where he achieved both a BA and a Masters as well as embarking on a PHD.
Sport was his passion, particularly American football, he was a highly accoladed player for The Oxford Saints and then coached The Saints where he also started the youth team and was Head Coach at The Oxford Brookes Panthers.
His family would like to notify you of his funeral which is on the 15th March 2025 at 11am at North Oxfordshire Crematorium Tackley, Kidlington, OX5 3ER, there will be a wake afterwards at The Marlborough Arms in Woodstock from 12.30.
The family are requesting donations to his two football teams, The Oxford Saints and The Oxford Brookes Panthers, please see details below.
